Under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 - a husand can file for divorce under following conditions :
a) On the grounds of cruelty
b) On the grounds of spouse living in adultery
c) On grounds of disertion by spouse without any reasonable cause.
d) non. declaration of previous marriage/ bigamy
e) Non. consumation of marriage/ non. declaration of inadequate fertility - physical condition
f) case of voidable marriage.

Grounds for divorce are cruelty, desertion, sexual reltion of wife with other during marriage, mental disorder of wife so as to endanger life of husband, wife is suffering from a virulent andincurable form of leprosy, wife is suffering from venereal disease in acommunicable form, wife has renounced the world by entering any religious order or wife has not been heard of asbeing alive for a period of seven years or more by those persons who would naturally have heard of her. There is no other ground of divorce.

Although, if both parties are ready there can be mutual consent divorce.

it depend on it types of in which way he want divorce , what kind of charges he put for demanding divorce.don't worry just wait and wait for any legal notice. may be court is liable to dismiss all the unaccepted charge by him.
