Couples are made in the heaven is said by humans because they hear from their elders or teachers. God did not show himself to anyone and said matches are made in heaven to anyone on the earth. So, it is our imagination. Divorce is again created by man to get rid of partner, it is made for the convince of unhappy couples. When good happens we give credit to God and same way when bad happens we say god's will. It is absolutely rubbish, everything is made by us only, no one else, couples have misunderstandings, no faith on their partners, egos, arrogance or status feelings, extra martial affairs and list is endless. All these are created by us not by god.

if i were a nastik i'd rather tell u that its no god who decides the couples- it is us because we develop a certain liking in interests & we come into a relation.
But if iam a god fearing person then i'd rather say that god shows us the way after becoming a couple but people who just want a smooth road to happiness cannot walk on a road where they have to compromise at some stage, where they just go for self means, where they loose the support of their spouse. So, god does show us the way but its up to us to walk on it. Couples are made in heaven otherwise how would u define love? :) take care
