How much time divorce process will take? should i consult with lawyer or anywhere, bcz my inlws always demandng the dowry, thy alwys quarral with me sugst me?  

Divorce sought by a women usually is fast and quick
courts are very sypathetic towards women
but does depend on where in the country are you,

its easy to WANT a divorce, tough to get it, and even tougher to live with it................
get into your husbands mind, if he is sympathetic, speak up and try to live seperately, if not, then consult a good lawyer in your city,
get counselling, most courts have family counselling cell's
they really can help
try to make it work, if not then make a pakka decision and move in that drection fast and quick

You know the legal procedure in the court is very slow and takes time to settle the case. But if you go to family court I heard the procedure is quicker than general court. and its verdict is accepted everywhere.
Now tell me is your husband is standing by ur side? if he is by ur side then arrange a separate house and live there peacefully.
Otherwise go to family court and I think ur divorce case will easily solved provided if ur husband wants.
It is called mutual divorce. It is most easy process.

for that you must appeal for divorce in family court, and you don't need any lawyer, when the case registered with actual reason, they call your husband and in laws to give clarification, you may demand claim for maintenance amount from them, may be it will take 6 months.

Divorce is not a solution.Get your partner toagree for staying seperat in oice place.If he is not agreed than stay away from them for atleast six month and find result.if they are correcting themself its alright or than go to thr right lawer.In other sense lawers shows the way but the star juicing you out from financial background.Because lawer are not the right person to solve they simply convert the case like web and you will nither be able to come out nor to go in,you will be hanged like pendulam.Its not a easy nawa days.If you are financial sound than you can take chance. Dear Ritu,

See, if you and your husband both decides to go for divorce, technically you may get it in 6-7 months under section 13B of Hindu Marriage Act.

In other case, generally process of divorce may take approx. 2 and half years or more. Please don't rely on any one who quotes you time less than this as it is not possible. Do note that court have to go by the set procedures and all those procedures can not be completed in less than this time with approx. 35 days time period between two dates.

Briefly, when you will file your petition for divorce under section 13 (1) (i) of Hindu Marriage Act on the grounds of cruelty, court will first issue notice to your husband and then send your case for mediation proceedings. After failure of mediation, court will begin proceeding as per procedure specified in CPC. Here, your husband will file reply, then you will have to file rejoinder. After this issues will be framed. Thereafter there will be stage of evidence and finally argument before final order and judgment.

Dowry harassment and quarrel certainly falls under above said section of HMA. But, you will have to prove it in court with oral witness or any other document you have.

I would suggest you to file complaint in police station regarding harassment as it will help you while proving cruelty in your divorce case. It is because if you will not do so, while cross examination in your divorce case, your husband's lawyer will ask you as to what prevented you to complaint of harassment.
