Well Naveen, in my opinion and also looking at the state of the Indian batting in the concluded two matches. I think it would be really difficult for them to get past him.
He is not just a good spinner and a willy bowler but being new totally unpredictable too that is making life for the batsman really difficult. But, it is difficult not impossible, as Indian batting posses enough talent that if they are able to apply equivalent temperament and application too to their batting they would easily gonna make amends of their present shortcomings.

If Indian batsmen not able to read his spin properly then it will be a big problem for Indian batsmen. I feel that Indians are not properly coming up with good strategy to deal his spin. No Indian batsmen is coming out of the crease and using the feet to hit him. This is happening because Indian batsmen are not properly understanding which way the ball will turn. This is happening from past few series.. I hope India will handle Mendis...

A million Dollar question. For our boys to lose the match Mendis Today, Muralitharan yesterday and may be Kulasekara tomorrow. But for sure they will lose matches. A bunch of jokers or a pack of cards?

The ODi series staring from today (18/8/08) has lots of reasons to look at. First the big question will India be able to look through Mendis and out smart him.
As he has been troubling all the players both seniors and youngsters its getting quite difficult to read him.

It going to be difficult for Indians as V.Shewag who played Mendis well is not going to be the part of first ODI as he has a ankle injury. Playing Mendis will be the far most priority of the Indian game plan. But with V.Shewag not in the side G.Ghambhir will have to give the Indian a good start in the series. Mendis is a very smart bowler and looks very composed with his talent. He is very confident of his bowling and knows his strengths and only bowls that. He doesn't allow any batsmen with any room he just puts the bowl in the right areas and he gets good results for it. Its surely be a decider that if India plays mendis well they will make good chance of winning the series but if they don't then they will fail to achieve it.

India's got some youngsters coming up in the one day series. So whether the youngsters succeed against Mendis needs to be seen. They are coming up where the experience of the seniors have failed. M.S.Dhoni has promised that his team will definitely play Mendis better and seems to have formulated a strategy against Mendis. I think that the likes of Yuvraj Singh,Rohit Sharma and Dhoni will definitely prevail against the vicious spin of Mendis.

No I don't think Indian batsman will be able to handle him in the coming ODI series.Till now indian batsman had no clue to his mystery bowling be it in Asia Cup or in the just concluded Test Series.
Playing mendis and that too at his own den will be a tough task for the indian batsman.Other than Virender Shewag i dont think any other batsman is capable of playing him well.
Regarding Video Analysis of his Bowling Action,run up and all this all are not going to help the batsman as Mendis has variety in his bowling and they have no clue unless the ball is bowled.
Best of Luck India........now only injury to mendis can save india!

Ya ofcourse , Specially Youvraj singh and M S Dhone.As i have heard somewhere that they had analyzed action , aproach , run up , and the grip using Video analyzing Software. I m sure that will help. Also it depands upon the condition of pitch. If pitch is good for spinners then ofcourse it will be hard time for our man their. there are alot of things which can be counted here but it is difficult to write all those factors .....

70% Chances will be in favour of indian Batsman will dominate..

It was very difficult for the indian senior players to handle Mendis in the recently concluded Test series. He was handful for them. Now Indian young brigade will take on him. He is a very nippy kind of bowler and has handful of variations that's why nobody has been able to read him. Indian junior players have already played him in the Asia Cup and Mendis destroyed them in the Final so i dont think so that anybody apart from Sehwag and Gautam will read hi properly. Lets see what happens !!!!!!!!!!!!
