No way Karthika, Last year it was not even one so I don't expect India to even win 2 gold medals this year.

Maybe some silver and bronze ones but gold medalists are just not the ones created in India.

It was a time in P.T.Usha days where people used to get Gold medals but these days people ain't just talented enough, or are just lagging behind because of under training.

in this olympic , the medal tally will be 2 bronzes (optimistic view) or 0 medals & 2-3 players disqualified due to drugs etc. (passimist view)

My dear friend, you are expecting too much from India. 18 gold medals highly impossible, the history says India won gold medals in Hockey only. Now hockey team is not qualified and even the hockey team is struggling to win medals in the last few Olympics. So, It will be great achievement if India bring home a medal forget about Gold...But I wish India win 18 gold medals...

18 Gold Medals ! May god that time too come. At present if India can win a 1 to 3 Gold Medals in Olymic 2008. It will be a great achivement.
