It would not be appropriate to degrade a person with the post of assistant coach. Any way, he will be provided with a different post in future. Only for this series, Venkatesh Prasand and Robin Singh are there. BCCI is not going to extend their post. After that, only Gary Kristen will be there to coach our team. He will manage by himself. Then, BCCI will appoint an assistant coach for the team, if necessary.

I can say only one thing that by giving so much importance to cricket we Indians have created opportunities for BCCI to earn enormously and simply as they are not finding the way for expressing there attitude of doing for betterment of cricket hence even after having good past players for the coaching they are hiring coaches and other staff from other country so not only money can find way of expenses but BCCI also appear doing something for the game.

The performance that Rajput gave was good enough to be retained as a coach.
But as it is India, where its the name and not the work that counts.
