Hi singh, The first ICC T 20 World Cup is won by India in South Africa. So, India is the champions presently and they have defeated Pakistan in a trilling final. It was surprise of the year because Indian team was full of young players and no Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman and Kumble. No one expected that India will win after their disaster performance in World Cup played in West Indies and India came home without going into second round (super 6).

Dhoni was the captain of this young team and it is one of the best wins for Indian cricket team. India beat the Australians, England, South Africans etc to enter the finals.. Presently in T20 format Team India is the best team...

india won the historic 1st T-20 world cup by defeating pakistan........
india's performance in the world cup was superb india won world cup by young brigade of Dhoni...

the world cup was played in South Africa And a total of 12 teams participate in it

a total of 27 matched were played.....

india lost only 1 match against new zealand by 10 runs ......

Brief highlight on final are as :


India won the toss and chose to bat on what was considered to be a traditionally batsman-friendly pitch at the Bullring.

Umar Gul took the wickets of both Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, leaving India with 157/5 in 20 overs;

only Gautam Gambhir (75 from 54 balls) produced a notable innings.

A 21-run over from Sreesanth swung the game towards Pakistan.

However, Irfan Pathan and Joginder Sharma slowed the scoring dramatically. With Pakistan needing 54 from 24 balls,
Misbah-ul-Haq hit 3 sixes off Harbhajan Singh in one over. Sreesanth was also dispatched for 2 sixes,

as Pakistan went into the last over needing 13 runs to win, with only 1 wicket remaining.

Joginder Sharma bowled a wide first ball, followed by a dot ball. Misbah followed by taking six off a full-toss; Pakistan needed just 6 runs to win from the last four balls.

Misbah attempted to hit the next ball with a paddle-scoop over fine leg, but he only managed to sky the ball, and it was caught at short fine-leg by Sreesanth,

leaving Pakistan all out for 152 runs. Irfan Pathan was awarded the Man of the Match for his spell, which included 3 wickets for 16 runs, including that of Man of the Series, Shahid Afridi......

Surely india is the champion in the T20 Cricket. Becuase Indian T20 players are youngsters. So they are playing sportively, carefully, interestly in T20 matches. Sehwag only old player. All others are young players. Sehwag is must player of Indian T20 Team. Because he is blaster, most of the bowlers has afraid to him. Gambhir is a standing player. Rohit Sharma is fullfill instead of Rahul Dravd. Youvraj singh blaster, he is use to increase our run highly. Dhoni also standing and hitting player. Uthappa, Harbajan, Zaheer also use to increase runs. R.P.Singh, Zaheer, Ishanth, Pathan, Harbajan are good bowlers.

The World Cricket League is a series of international one-day cricket tournaments for national teams without Test status, administered by the International Cricket Council. Any Associate or Affiliate member of the ICC may compete in the league system, which has promotion and relegation between each division.

The series completed its first cycle in 2007, with teams allotted into divisions based on their performance in the qualification tournaments for the 2007 World Cup. As the two finalists of the World Cricket League Division One tournament, Kenya and Scotland, were rewarded with qualification for ICC World Twenty20 2007 alongside the ten test playing nations.

The tournament format for the 2007 edition consisted of four stages:

Group Stage - Four groups of three teams (two seeds and one qualifier) with two games per team and the top two teams qualifying for the Super 8s.
"Super 8s" - Two four-team groups playing three games each. The make up of the groups was pre-decided based upon all seeds qualifying; if a seed failed to qualify the beneficiary took their allotted place in their respective group.
Semi-Finals - Group Winners playing the runner up of the other Super 8 Group.
Final

The winners of the 2007 tournament were India.
