This question is not an easy one. If u r asking for test cricket its very impossible to judge. But if u look in the other way, it is obviously Mathew Hayden, the batsman with his own grip. But oneday has got a different meaning.Our Sachin Tendulkar is no less better than others. He is the best among the others in ODIs.

I think test cricket is such a big ocean wer u cant pick up one single drop and say this is THE BEST..test cricket has seen some really really great personalities if I am asked to pick ONE single person it would be Sachin the Gr8..coz I hav'nt been during Don Bradman's time so I really dont know how he was on and off the field,but Sachin,he allways had a character in him, His class,his eleagance,his style,his timing, and the list goes onnnnnnnnnn, name one stroke in the book that he could not play....allmost every bowler has accepted the fact dat Sachin is the toughest batsman they've bowled to..wat else shud he need to proove dat he is the BEST...

According to me, Its Sachin Tendulkar. Best Cricketer doesnt mean that he should just hold the worlds best record. A cricketer is a sportsman. He should possess all the sportsman spirit that a sportsperson should possess. He should be a genius at his work and should possess the ability to perform under pressure and in any given situation. Not only that he should also be able to make a comeback whenever he is down in the dumps. Sachin is a great player playing under pressure of a billion people for so many years and consistantly performing for the Indian team. He is a very humble and a down to earth person. He never gets into any kind of controversies shows the sportsman spirit in the man. And to top all of the above plus points he is the highest run getter ever in ODIs and will soon head the Test list too.

Though sachin Tendulkar is the best cricketer acording to me i consider Adam Gilchrist also to be somewhat like sachin in terms of honesty,commitment , aggression and team spirit

According to me, the Greatest batsman of all time would be Sachin Tendulkar.
Because There had been many batsman that had come in the cricketing arena but none had been equal enough to him who was able to emulate his success, and that to with such consistency.
In recent times only, Lara, Jayasurya could be said to be players of equal caliber to SAchin, but none had been able to showcase consistency like he did.
