First I give definition of best batsman. The batsman which has good batting style, tyming shot, idea play, situational thinging, good self confidence, sprit, stamina, fearless, soft mind and then tolerance. Nowadays most of the batsman are not play well. Som players has stress, frustrate, fear, disappoint by anyone. Sachin Tendulkar, Michale Bevan, Damien Martyn, Ricky Pointing, Bradman, Lara, Saeed Anwar, Arvind-de-silva, Inzimam, Jaque kallis, Stephen flemming, Kumar Sankakara are best batsman in the world cricket. But i admired cricket player is Michael Bevan. Because he is outstanding cricket player. He has good batting performance.

Hello sunil, I assume that you are talking about the current international cricketers. I feel presently Mathew Hayden is the best batsman and he is topping in the tests and in ODI's also. In T20 cricket, I will rate M S Dhoni as the best batman.

From past few years Tendulkar is facing the injuries that is why is not topping the ICC rankings. But Hayden is Mr. Dependable for Aussies and I wish him all the best for the current test series which he is playing.

If you talk about best batman from India, right now I will rate MS Dhoni in ODI's and in tests Sehwag. Sehwag is the only player who blasted 2 triple centuries... So, right now Sehwag is the best in tests..

The form of the batsmen keeps changing and there are many batsmen who become heroes on the basis of a few performances but lack the consistancy.

So, for me, the criteria for a good batsman would be consistancy and dependancy and who else can satisfy the criteria better than our own "Mr. Dependable", Rahul Dravid. I know he is not the flamboyant types like Sehwag and Sachin, he is not as gifted as Ganguly, but he is undoubtedly a real team man and the most consistent of all indian batsmen at the moment.
