Former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh has the record of 181 catches in 128 test matches in the outfield(not being a keeper).
South African wicket keeper Mark Boucher has the record of 397 catches behind the wickets in test matches.

The record is held by legendary Steve Waugh's young brother Mark Waugh he holds the test record for maximum catches by a non wicket keeper. He has taken a total of 181 catches.

While in Keepers category Mark Boucher(South African wicket keeper) from South Africa taken a total of 397 catches behind the wicket closely followed by another Aussie, Adam Gilchrist.
