Few years back Australian swimmer Ian Thrope was the best in the world.

Ian Trope of Australia use to dominate the pool but Micheal Phelps of USA is the best swimmer in my view. He has broken the record of most Gold medals in Olympics. He has won 8 in Beijing Olympics 2008....

It is Michael Phelps, the American ace swimmer. 36 years ago an American born Jew Mark Spitz set the olympic swimming pools ablaze with his stellar performance with 7 gold medals to his credit. All records are set to be broken. This one also so majestically by a compatriot of Mark spitz. Spitz calls Phelps the all time great swimmer and Phels says that he drew inspiration from Mark Spitz thus complementing each other. Both great sportspersons.

Vivek, the new 23 year old talented Michael Phelps, is name in whole world wide today for his brilliant 8 gold medals in different types strokes which he excelled in this years Beijing Olympics 2008.

The American swimmer is now having 14 gold medals and has created a new world record by beating the 36 year old record of Mark Spitz. This 14 gold medal that he has now is a record by any individual at the Games in Olympics. He also aspires to join the 2012 Olympics which is to be played in London. Thus he is going to make it very difficult for other to break his gold medal records.

Michael Phelps winning surely should go down well and aspiring for young talents in India who now should look beyond cricket for approaching sports as a carrier.
