"Task Manager".

1.1 "Local Group Policy"

a. Go to "Start" -> "Run" -> Write "Gpedit.msc" and press on "Enter" button.

b. Navigate to "User Configuration" -> "Administrative Templates" -> "System" -> "Ctrl+Alt+Del Options"

c. In the right side of the screen verity that "Remove Task Manager"" option set to "Disable" or "Not Configured".

Answer
I have two problems. The keyboard is disabled and task manager is disabled. I suspect spyware at the root and that it has changed something in the registry for only one of the users. I have not tried the solutions yet, but I will leave a detailed description when I have resolved both of these issues

hi dear

There are settings you can access as an administrator that would allow you to disable and enable Task Manager in this way. Virus generally do this mischief and make u irritate.

Click Start, then click Run and type in gpedit.msc
And press OK. This runs the Group Policy Editor.

Once in the Group Policy Editor, expand in turn:

User Configuration

Administrative Templates

System

Ctrl+Alt+Del Options

Double click on Remove Task Manager to change its setting:

It should be enough to click on Not Configured and then OK and Task Manager is available once again.

Well, enabling Task manager is a bit long process.

You can simply open it by using ALT + control + delete keys.

Steps to Enable Task Manager in Windows XP

Step 1: Start Windows in your normal manner.

Step 2: Click "Start." Then highlight and click "Run."

Step 3: Type "REGEDIT" into the text bar and press "Enter."

Step 4: Navigate through the registry, looking for the following directory: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System."

Step 5: Right-click on the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" and click "New" from the context menu to include a new string. This is only necessary when the necessary directory is not currently present in the registry. By default, Windows XP Home Edition does not include the necessary directory string.

Step 6: Click on the "Disable TaskMgr" phrase and delete it. This is the simplest way to do it, but it makes it more of a challenge to repair in the future. You will need to manually reenter the string if you didn't back up first.

Step 7: Change the numbers in the boolean section of the entry from one to zero. This will enable the Task Manager in Windows XP. Note that the zero is essentially equivalent to a positive entry in this regard, as the initial string is a negative.

Step 8: Change the string manually from the "Run" window of the Start Menu, without having to access the Registry Editor. Simply type "REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f" into the text field and press "Enter."

Task manager can be enabled no problem there ! But if it happenes only when U insert your pen drive into it then your pen drive itself is infected. U might wanna try different pen drive and see if the same shik starts. If not then your PD is culprite and is infected with virus or malware. You might wanna disinfect it.
