Random Memory Access in short RAM, is a volatile memory space. A computer uses RAM to hold temporary instructions and data needed to complete tasks. This enables the computer’s CPU to access instructions and data stored in memory very quickly. memory elements are made of flip flops or latch... As we know the main storage of computer is Hard Disk but the Hard disk speed is very less compare to CPU, thus to increase the speed of processing and to decrease the time lapse ..... two small memory has been added in between the Processor and hard disk, one is RAM and other is cache RAM ... RAM stores the temporary instuctions and data whereas the cache RAM stores to instructions which are used frequently, like insturctions for keyboard and mouse
