Which laptop will be good for home perpose in the range of 35 to 40 thousand? ?  

Well, You can go for HP / Compaq.

HP Pavilion is one of the best laptops. Lenovo is Falso a good brand.
These laptops have the best configurations and feasible too (mid range as asked by you) .

Dell or Compaq should be good for the money U want to spend & since their after service in most cities are available as well.
