There are lots of Internet providing companies in market now a days. Both govt (BSNL/MTNL) and Private. They all have various schemes suiting to your surfing requirement. Among govt. BSNL is better, provided it serves in your city.

I have Sify Broadband at home, quite satisfied with its performance & speed. They offer number of schemes at very competitive prices. The one which I have is 256kbps, 150MB per day D/L limit,Unlimited D/L during night time...it costs me little more than 400/- p.m. Service is also great, those guys are quire prompt when called upon for any problem.

Others available are Reliance, Hathway, Satyam (not sure if they still provide?), Airtel, Tata etc. But Sify is anytime better, no doubt they are expert in their business.

BSNL & MTNL broadband is the best ISP
but if u want pvt ltd. ISP go for HATHWAY
