Well Gili! It has been a while since Drafting Class but as far as I remember, one type has PERSPECTIVE (lines converge at vanishing points on an imaginary horizon) and the other type doesn't (lines are drawn to exact length with no regard to the way the object would appear in real life). The type using perspective is used to illustrate the final appearance of an object while the other is used to take accurate measurements from ... in a blueprint or other design capacity.
Unfortunately, I can't remember which is which. Sorry I couldn't offer more help.
