well ramanarayana,Does your laptop have Wi-Fi? If your laptop has built in Wireless-B/G/N then you can connect it wirelessly to your ADSL by just purchasing a router. The steps to set up a wireless router is very simple. Once you set it up with your ADSL, you can just go into your connection settings on your laptop and "search for open networks" and then connect to your router. If your laptop isn't Wi-Fi enabled,, then you will also need to purchase a wireless PC card for it so that you can "force" your laptop to work wirelessly. There are also wireless USB connections available if you do not have a PC card slot. For wireless routers, I suggest you to opt for Linksys, but there are other brands such as NetGear and D-link. Hope it'll help.
