Player B may also buy back the other 70% of his stock (assuming he owns the other 30%) at double price, however this is not typically a good move - the cash goes to the player the shares are purchased from.

When a player achieves 100% ownership in another railroad's stock, he is immediately given the choice of merging the railroad into his existing operation or liquidating it. Merging basically means that the purchased railroad converts to the player's railroad, keeping all its infrastructure, trains, and routes. If the player chooses to liquidate the railroad, he is paid a portion of the railroad's value in cash and the purchased railroad disappears from the game map.

The game ends, in a sense, when all the competing railroads have been purchased, or when the player's railroad is purchased by a competitor. Should you be crafty enough to purchase all the competing railroads, you will still be allowed to play until you either reach the end of the map's allotted gametime or until you choose to retire.
