according to ur question a 17'' CRT monitor consumes about 600W, 15'' CRT consumes about 550W , whereas a 17'' LCD consumes only 40-50W.

This is same in case of TFT monitors also, which gives far better picture quality than LCD.

17" crt consume 20w , and 17" lcd consume 12w of voltage.approx.

Well Sanjay , Different monitors consume different amount of voltage.

1) 17" LCD will normally consume 100-240VAC; 50/60 Hz (Switch) 21W (Max.)

2) 17" CRT will normally consume 100-240 V AC, 50/60Hz

3) 15" CRT will normally consume AC 110/230 V ± 10% ( 50/60 Hz )
