hello varun If you are experiencing DirectX errors then the very first, and usually only step you will need to take is to ensure you are running the latest version of DirectX. You can view, and even download, the latest version of this API from the official Microsoft DirectX website – http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/xn a/aa937781.aspx.
In order to find out which version is currently installed on your system, and to run through various diagnostic checks to ensure all is working well with your DirectX installation you can open the DirectX Diagnostic tool. Click Start and then click Run. In the dialog box type dxdiag and click Enter. At the bottom of the first screen there is a field entitled DirectX Version, which tells you the version you currently have downloaded.
On the Display, Sound, Music, and Network pages there is also the capability to check each of the different DirectX components to ensure that they are all working accurately. Any problems found in here can usually be identified and resolved by downloading and installing the latest updates.
