well, You should definitely have Anti-virus protection at all times. One that is up to date and able to receive virus definitions every day. One of the best commercial versions is Nod32. If you cannot afford a commercial version than I recommend AVG free antivirus 8.0. You should have only one antivirus program installed on your computer. Because antivirus programs have real time protection more than one can cause conflicts and not work as well. And you must have one to protect your computer at all times. You can safely use online virus scanners to supplement your main antivirus program; in fact it is a must if you are using a free antivirus program since they are not by themselves as effective as the top rated commercial antivirus programs.
