"Default" settings are those established at the factory. If you change the settings in a particular screen, "restore" changes them back to the factory settings.

Most of the computer programs comes with the option of customization (i.e. change values to your requirement). Although it works correctly in many cases, sometimes it can be a problem too and often messed up the program performance. So the program providers are providing you with the 'Default' configuration or settings to tackle this problem. 'Restore defaults' means restore the program to it's original state from customized value by applying the default settings/configuration. For example, In CMOS BIOS setup, each and every option is come with the 'Restore default' option to reset the BIOS to factory condition to avoid any problems.

default means the setting place up by the computer itself
n restore default means if u change any setting then to come back to computer setting the restore default is use
