Lakme India Fashion week event held twice in every year. This year it will be in March and in between October/November.

It is held twice every year this year it will be held from 27-31 march 2008 and 31 october -4 november 2008.

LFW is normally organised twice every year. The inaugural Fall/Winter Week which takes place in the month of March - April and the Spring/Summerwhich takes place in the month of September-October.

New initiatives like 'Emerging Designer Category' and 'GenNext' will be unveiled for the first time in India at the inaugural Lakme Fashion Week 2006 with an aim to provide a platform for promising young talent to establish themselves across India. Both Lakme and IMG have been pivotal for the success of the Lakme India Fashion Week over the last six years.
