if u wana shop and are looking for items of difrnt ranges,then spencers l do good...but if u are always for branded items,then u shud try city center

Chennai Citi Center [ not to be confused with the original Citi Center on Pursawalkam High Road] is luxurious and caters primarily to the upper classes where shops like LANDMARK, LIFESTYLE and INOX Multiplex is there. . The Spencers Plaza caters to middle classes as well as upper classes,where you have small stalls and shops like Landmark where you can eat bhel puri in a small chaat shop and also be able to eat in the Food Court. So,both are good.

If u are looking for privacy pick the city center..
if u want to see the crowds with lots of shops giving away things on discount, visit the spencer plaza..
I visit the spencer plaza anyday..
