no hair and nails do not continue to growth after death because at the time of death all the processes of body checks(stopped) and all the systems of body like respiratory system ,blood-vascular system,nervous system ,etc.are stopped and BRAIN stops their function to controll and regulate our body by checking the instruction through nervous system and blood-vascular system ,enzyme&harmones stimulation etc. And most importent HEART also checks their function due to which respiration checks and purification and oxidation of blood get stopped.SO all the processes stopped and
this moment comes in life of every animal like human so it is called DEATH after that moment we are as non-living not being but material which can't react.
so nails and hair do not grow after death.
but in case of only brain dead person which are in coma all the processes are not checked but only brain do not works well.in Case of that type of death NAILS AND HAIRS GROWS slowly , not like than that of a healthy person
