A lot of what we know about beauty comes from art. Realistic art and media is the product of choices made by an artist or media maker. While these images can give us a good idea of what people thought or think is beautiful, the images don't necessarily give us a good idea of what people really look like. For example, magazines and TV today do not really represent an accurate cross section of people in the real world.

A person whose presence, either physical or otherwise, is gives others a pleasure is a person who could be called beautiful. One could be physically unattractive but still be beautiful.

Beauty is not a feature to be seen. It is to feel. A person, true by heart, not fake, and simple, etc.... is beautiful. A person is beautiful not by skin or body, it is beautiful from heart. If a person is simple and true from heart, then whether he/she may not be looking attractive, but his/her simplicity and truth of heart makes her beautiful in front of all fake things. People think that a person looking attractive is beautiful, but that is not beauty, it's just attraction for sometime, till the other person has put up all fake things on. As soon as that person puts off that thing, like jewelery, clothes, make-up, etc...., he/she again turns a simple person, and may not look as beautiful as before, that is the reason, that person beautiful from heart, always remains beautiful, and that beauty never fades
