or you can even apply the juice with cotton around the eyes .If done regularly, this home remedy for dark circles is very effective

Tip 1:

Grate 2' piece of cucumber. Squeeze through a muslin cloth and extract the juice. Dip cotton pads in this and place on eyelids. Relax for 15 minutes.

Tip 2:

Take 1 tspn Tomato pulp,1 pinch of Turmeric powder ½ tspn of limejuice and 1 tspn of gram flour. Make a paste and apply gently. Remove gently with moist cotton pads after ½ an hour.

Tip 3:

Soak 2 Almonds overnight. Peel and grind to a smooth paste. Add a few drops of limejuice to this Apply for 20-25 minutes. This should be followed daily and gradually after 2 weeks, every 3rd day and finally when the difference is visible, to once aeek. A paste of Almonds can be stored in a clean bottle in the 'fridge.

You should ideally speak to an eye doctor to find out why your eyes react in this manner to contacts. It is however natural for eyelids to appear darker and oily by the end of the day - I don't know the extent of your problem. Consider simply washing your face during the day. Also, try applying cucumber slices on your lids after returning home from work everyday, to sooth your eyes. If you wear coloured contacts but don't have a number, I suggest you wear them only when going out at night, for a few hours.

Dark circles are known to be signs of stress, lack of sleep, fatigue, malnutrition, allergies etc. Getting plenty of sleep, rest, increasing your water intake at least 8 glasses of water a day & last but not least eating well. Cut down on your consumption of caffeine drink plenty of water and fresh fruit juices instead. Also, you may be lacking in iron. Gently massage almond oil on the dark area before going to bed. Lie down and place a slice of cucumber or potato on each eyelid for about fifteen minutes. Follow a diet rich in iron, vitamins and proteins. Deficiencies immediately show up as circles under the eyes. You can also use a mixture of almond oil or cucumber juice with lemon juice to lighten dark circles. Drink lots of water and get plenty of rest.
