Well let me share you my experience.
first of all, make sure you already have healthy hair that is well-cared for. If you had a great hair even before you had rebonding and though it really looked good after a good blow-out, it may damage your hair and may even strip it off it's moisture. before, you comb your hair even if it's wet without worries but ever since you had your hair rebonded, you have to resist the urge of combing it even only a bit and have to use the hair dryer if you want to go out.
Don't shampoo it for as long as three days to let all chemicals soak in and make your rebonded hair last longer. use shampoo sparingly while using plenty of conditioner... use hair masks often and any kind of TLC you can give your hair.
If you have to repeat this, don't even try to brush your hair while it's still wet. you might have to put up with using the blow-dryer for a couple of months every single time you wash your hair. and when you do use a blower, use your fingers to gently toss your hair so it will dry faster. when it's 80 percent dry, you can now brush through it and style it until it gets fully dry. use a paddle brush since this is the most suitable for maintaining the straight effect.
When going to the salon, tell your stylist that it's important to blow-dry your hair a bit before they brush it, after the shampoo. you have learned that the hard way and your stylist forced to brush your hair was it still was soaking wet and used tons of detangler. They could have saved on half the time and effort if only they listened to you that needs to dry your hair first.
When you do have your hair rebonded, avoid putting a lot of chemicals and hair coloring in it cause it will damage your delicate hair BIG TIME. and by that time, you will have the gorgeous rebonded hair so you don't need the curling irons, flat irons etc.
i know it sounds difficult to maintain and take care of rebonded hair. and yes, it is. it consumes times and takes real effort. but let me tell you, once you're done with tossing and blow-drying it, you'll have totally gorgeous straight hair! Lastly, make sure you already have the length you want when you go for the rebonding. long length reaching up to your middle back would be perfect since you'll end up having long, gorgeous hair, saving you time as you'd only do it once and money, since you would never have to worry about going back for rebonding once you hair grows.
Expect to last for minimum of 3 hours at the salon and i'm sure you'll look gorgeous! GOOD LUCK!
