You can go to your work the next day. When the session duration depends on the technique chosen and on the amount of grafts to be transplanted. For the micrografting technique, approximately 2 hours for a 350 grafts session will be necessary and about 3 to 4 hours for a 700 grafts session. For the ultra micrografting technique, approximately 2 hours for a 500 grafts session will be necessary, 3hours 1/2 for a 1000 grafts session, 5 to 6 hours for a 2000 grafts session and about 7 to 8 hours for a 4000 grafts session.

You may return to work the next day and resume full activity within a few days. However, you will have tiny red spots where grafts are planted for about a week after the procedure. If work is physically strenuous, you should plan to take 1 week off. Patients are asked to avoid any heavy lifting, bending and straining for one week following surgery. For several days after the procedure, many patients wear a cap to cover the new transplants.
