the tradition and after wards register it with the Registrar of Marriages. But in some cases the Hindu marriage act also have some provisions even if it is not registered, for settlement of marriage related proof of marriage has to be given so what better proof than registered marriage...its about practicality.... legal things are trusted more than anything else when it comes to settlement of any disputes
