Please explain Vedha points and their significance in predicting transit effects.?

Vedha points in transits change the influence. E.g. A planet's transit from Moon if is good, but if there is a planet at a specific house from moon, then the planet A whose good transit is expected will not be good, though not bad too. Similarly bad transits if faced with a vedha point do not give bad results. This is the rule. My personal observation is that Vedha points do not work much.
