Vidanga (Embelia ribes), According to Ayurvedic tradition, Embelia is used as a vermiide and vermifuge, antihelmintic and especially useful against tapeworm, parasites, worms, and topically against ringworm and other skin diseases. It is a stimulating, cooling, alterative, laxative, carminative, and diuretic. It is useful in the treatment of dyspepsia, flatulence, piles, toothache, and as a topical agent applied to the chest in lung diseases, and as an oil to the head for headache.
