What is the difference between unconsciousness & coma?

and respirarion same is in unconcuosness...You awake and sleeping !...unconsciousness is a temporary phenomenon. if it persists continuously it is termed coma. This is calculated according to Glasgow Coma scale to consciousness by splashing water on the face but when a person goes into coma, this cannot be done as it is the brain that is not functioning properly...Unconsciousness literally means not awake or not aware
