Hi,The information you have is right. "Saind" as you say, is called "Sendha Namak" also and it is rock salt. Purple is closer thank blue to the color we see it in. Hi,Saindhava Lavanam We have been using Saindhava Lavanam instead of Common Salt for around a year. As of today we have not had even a single complaint becoz of this usage. It is also believed that Saindhava lavanam reduces Blood Pressure as against common salt which increases it. People also say that it is good for eyes.
