Hello Tings :)
Essentially, steam serves the purpose of opening skin pores. During facial treatments, all types of skins are given steam before or amidst the treatment, so the skin pores can be cleansed from the depth. But, soon after the cleaning & treatment is over, skin pores are made to contract by applying things like ice pack, chandan pack, multani mitti pack etc.
So, I believe you may use steam on all types of skin types to make your skin breathe and to cleanse it. But be sure to apply a good face pack or ice cube soon after.
You can get face steamers easily in the market. Another way you may take steam is by simply taking some hot water in a vessel & lean on the vessel with your head and vessel covered with a towel. However, do not prolong the process. Keep taking breaks after every few seconds.
Hope it helps.
