Larpos e-1 Tablets
Each tablet contains Lorazepam BP 1 mg

Indications
Larpose is indicated in the management of anxiety disorders, short-term
relief of the symptoms of anxiety or anxiety associated with depressive
symptoms, short-term treatment of insomnia associated with anxiety,
premedication for general or dental surgery.
Dosage and Administration
For optimal results, dose, frequency of administration and duration of
therapy should be individualised according to patient response. The lowest
effective dose necessary to control symptoms should be used.
Moderate and severe anxiety
Adults: 1-4 mg daily, in divided doses.
Insomnia associated with anxiety
Adults: 1-2 mg may be taken at bedtime
Premedication for surgery
Adults: 2-3 mg the night before operation and 2-4 mg one to two hours
before operation. 1-2 mg may be administered one and a half to two hours
before dental treatment.
Children (5-13 years): 0.5-2.5 mg at 0.05 mg/kg to the nearest 0.5 mg
according to weight, not less than one hour before operation.
Elderly: The elderly may respond to lower doses and half the normal adult
dose or less may be sufficient.
Contraindicatio ns
Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines and acute pulmonary insufficiency.
