What would you do if your stepmother is verbally and physically abusing you?  

Report the matter to the father and if father does not listen then live a independent life separate from parents if the person is having job. If a person is not in the age of earning money or jobless then he/she should approach to court for the justice. There is no tolerance from me if verbal and physical abuse without reason from step mother. If the step mother punish for the good reason then any person should not take it seriously but teenage will not allow that maturity, so, obviously teenagers feel it as abuse by step mother.

1. Start lobbying with your real mother's family.
2. Collect enough proof in form of audio recordings if possible.
3. Make allys or support in your neighbours and tell them your story.
4. After collecting enough of the evidence prove it to your father.

Or

Start making yourself strong by getting education later you would be in a position to flew.

Lucy, I feel for the boy/girl who unfortunately suffers from his/her step mother’s verbal and physical abuses. That is a regrettable state of affair.
But consolation may be had;
1. his/her own mother would have also abused
2. thinking that the step-mother might be having a positive intention
3. he/she might be better than her other own children (if she has at all)
4. he/she has to wait for maturity

There is no apparent remedy, except waiting for maturity and independence earning for own livelihood.
However, till day he/she should have patience and no way out.
