Confiedent has the meaning of as such that you are knowledgeable over the subject/subjects and you are independtly capable to handle all situation. Over confident has the meaning as such of igonorance and it is harmful to you as destruct your task without fulfilment. So confident is good never be overconfident. Thanks!!!

Well Confidence is a tricky trait to pin down. By being aware of your own and other people's behavior you will find the essential ingredients to building confidence.This can be difficult to answer. Confidence in yourself is good and a desirable trait, while over confidence is undesirable. There is a thin line between the two.

When a person is confident, he will do a particular thing with full efforts and will be sure of achieving success. However, in case of overconfidence, the person is so sure of suceeding hat he neglects to make full efforts and ultimately he doesn't succeed.

To some extent both are same but they differ in degree. Over confident is taken as a negative attitude for it could turn a person conceited. Or there is possibility of failing when one is over confident as it works negatively sometime but to be confident is correct in the sense that you are confident in the normal way and there is least possibility of your failure in your mission.

I think that this is your mistake that you are feeling this both thing as same because both this thing are totally opposite.When you some work and you are sure of doing that work and sure that you are going to do well in that work that means that you are confident and when you are not sure and you are thinking a lot in doing some work or taking decisions that means you are not confident in that particular thing.

Confident means having strong belief or full assurance. That is it is having no uncertainty about one's own abilities, correctness, successfulness, etc
Over confidence means too confident, cocksure. However, sometimes over confidence of a person speaks of his arrogance and recklessness inviting troubles.

However, when you perform a job well without interruptions, you know that you are confident.

Well saq whether you are confident or over confident you can know by your self ,your inner feeling will tell you or can tell you ,outsiders can't ,see when you are sure about yourself doing a particular thing means you are 100% confident but when you feel proud or some ego there inside of you that other than you no body can do it or this type of ting is ur left hand job then it is not good and it is over confident.

Over confident makes one to commit errors or mistakes in important works. While by doing confidently any work,there is a least possibility to commit any mistakes.One can not have both this at a same time.
